This is where you want your father, mom or grandparents to go when they need rehab. They care to the point they go out of there way on there own time to help. If you have medicare and don’t want your loved one to die in a glorified nursing home. If you want them to come home happy and healthy. THIS IS THE PLACE! Stop looking you have found your prayers answered. I know our family did.

Don't believe everything you see on Google. Aviva at Fitzsimons may have a 4 star rating here, however, the official Medicare website lists Aviva as a below average facility, with a 2 star rating and for good reason. But don't take my word for it. Visit the website and view the state inspection reports for yourself. And while there, I urge you to read the reviews from patients who have actually been a resident. Although they have a handful of positive reviews, there are more negative reviews, and the fact that almost every negative review states pretty much the same issue happening over and over again, lets me know that Aviva is uninterested in correcting the problem. And I stand by this statement, based off my recent experience with this deplorable organization. There are more facilities with higher ratings and staffed with people who actually care that can be found on the Medicare website, more deserving to care for your loved one because, unfortunately, Aviva at Fitzsimons is not that place. Kudos on the beautiful facility, though. It almost distracts you enough to not focus on all the bad.

Attractive facility with comfortable rooms. Exceptionally friendly staff but sometimes a little unresponsive because they seem to be spread out and staffing can be a little thin, especially at night. Pt and ot trainers are patient, have a lot of energy and have a lot of encouragement. They are exceptional The food is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delivery could be a little more responsive. Overall, a caring and comfortable facility with wonderful, professional and caring nurses, cna’s, trainers and support staff

I had a terrible experience working for Aviva F. located in Aurora, Colorado. As an experienced CNA I had high hopes of success with this company. Almost immediately I realized that would not be the case. The majority of the staff at Aviva are incompetent at their jobs. Ken is a good administrator and Wanda was a good neutral unit manager. I was informed multiple times by residents as well as witnessed unprofessional and neglectful behaviors towards the individuals said people are there to provide care for. Aside from resident care, Aviva has employees who are unapproachable to other members of their team. I had multiple conversations with the DON and management regarding bullying without anything being done. The unprofessional treatment of staff didn’t stop there with HR messing up a large portion of my paycheck. I was informed it would be taken care of “when they could get it figured out”. I would not recommend working for this company. I would also strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for your loved ones entering a nursing home.

We brought our great grandmother to this place thinking it was really good and caring because of all of the good reviews we had seen . To my surprise the reviews and ratings are fake. We rang the emergency button and after an hour no one had shown up and said it was “shift change”. Now the hospital insisted on placing her into a rehab for a little while because of her health. She is a high risk for falls and was told she needed someone 24/7 for assistance. All I can think about is what if we weren’t here and she fell ? What if she had to use the bathroom ? What if she needed help ? I am SURE they wouldn’t want their family members treated this way. DO NOT place your loved ones here, they do not care for their patients well being. I am just appalled as to what she had to experience.

I have no idea where the 4.2 star rating came from. We brought my great-grandmother here, because of the high ratings. I was appalled upon staying with her for a few hours. We pressed the help button and after an HOUR there were still no nurses in sight. What if my great-grandmother was alone and had an emergency?? What if she pressed that button on her own? Nobody would come? We took her with us immediately after, we didn’t even allow her to spend a night. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS!
